Your Photos Never Leave Your Device
Unlike traditional online image compressors that upload your sensitive images to external cloud servers, Image Resizer AI processes everything locally inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and client-side binary processing. No photo, graphic, or document is ever sent to or stored on our servers.
01Data We Never Collect
Because our architecture operates completely in-memory inside your browser:
- No Image Files or Thumbnails: We never receive, inspect, log, or save the images you upload.
- No Personal Documents or Signatures: Passport photos, national IDs, and signature crops remain securely within your local browser memory.
- No EXIF or GPS Metadata: Camera metadata and GPS location tags embedded in images are stripped automatically on export to preserve your anonymity.
02Information We May Collect Automatically
To maintain service reliability, monitor site performance, and protect our infrastructure from abuse, we may collect minimal, non-personally identifiable technical telemetry when you visit the website:
- Browser and Device Details: Browser family, operating system version, and display resolution for responsive layout optimization.
- Aggregated Usage Statistics: Non-identifiable page visit counts, referring websites, and general geographical region (country level).
- Error Diagnostics: Anonymous client-side JavaScript error reports to detect browser compatibility issues.
03Local Storage & Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising tracking beacons. We utilize your browser's localStorage strictly for user experience preferences:
- Theme Preference: Storing whether you selected Dark or Light theme mode (
theme: 'dark' | 'light'). - Tool Presets: Storing your recent compression quality or format preferences locally so you do not have to reconfigure them.
This data never leaves your computer and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
04Data Security & In-Memory Isolation
All file processing is isolated within your device's browser sandbox. Once you close or refresh the browser tab, all temporary image blobs, preview canvases, and compression buffers are automatically garbage-collected and discarded by your operating system.
05Compliance with Global Privacy Regulations (GDPR & CCPA)
Because we do not collect, process, sell, or store personal identifiers or user images:
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): We adhere to principles of data minimization and privacy-by-design. No personal data profiling is conducted.
- CCPA / CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We do not sell or share personal information with third parties or data brokers.
